David Schmieding Solid Interpretations‏ First of all I would like to say that Rick has a very solid and stately genuine tenor voice that is perfect for pop, folk or soft rock. So often you hear contrived screechy or squeaky (sometimes untrained falsetto) voices in pop or rock (especially rock). Rick's voice is legitimate and crystal clear and is almost a combination of John Denver and Greg Lake (of ELP).Secondly his interpretations are solid and well thought out. His timing is impeccable and his inflections are true to the original mood and timbre of the pieces while sometimes even adding some subtlety not present in the original.Lastly I would like to add that Rick is a very capable guitarist. He accompanies the pieces, many of which were recorded with a group or set of studio musicians, with the single guitar in such a competent way that you sometimes forget it is only one person making the music. His chord sequencing is perfect and he sometimes shows off a very precise and fluent picking (quite often finger picking) technique and style, which is quite often close to many of the original accompaniments. ” - David Schmieding

Jerry Robbins Absolute Flawless Live Performance I can relate because I was there At The Copper Hearth!!! Rick is an incredible performer mastering the likes of James Taylor, Steve Stills, Cat Stevens, Bob Dylan, Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, The Beatles and all the most influential artists of the 60s and 70s and more. Rick not only plays and sings these memorable hits but believe me, the original artists would be amazed with envy by Rick's ability to hit every note while adding a little subtle twist for greater perfection. The vocals are top notch that accompany a wide range of leads and rhythm and blues picking and strumming capturing a full band sound in a single instrument. This album is played more than any other in my collection. Just listen to a few songs and you are hooked. rick, hats off for putting this together so all can enjoy! ” - Jerry Robbins

    T. Hall That Amazing Voice! If you crave to hear some of those good ol' tunes from the 60's and 70's, Rick Noland's vocal artistry will carry you back to those memorable times! His singing is effortless, a beautiful voice that matches the emotional content of the songs, yet maintains the high level of artistry required to not only survive and blossom in a very tight and competitive market. Rick Noland's name, given the proper exposure, should become as well known to those who love the music of the 60's and 70's, as those song writers and singers he reminds you of! Write down his name -- and buy his CD album -- and let him carry you back to those good ol' days again -- his music will lift your soul and kindle your spirit once again!! ” - T. Hall
